from those you hold dear

The people you care for and

love from the start

are the only ones able

to shatter your heart

A slight from a strangers

seems fleeting and fast

harsh words from a loved

once causes pain that will last

prepared for a stranger with

sharp words or a frown

with those you think love you

you let your gaurd down

They surely dont realize

the words that they say

put an ache in your heart

that wont go away

they show only charm

to new ppl they see

while frustration and words

only seem for me

I know im as guilty as

they are of this sin

lord help me remember

as i start to again.
